ETHS 3400 - Native American/Indigenous Experiences

This upper division interdisciplinary course studies the experiences of Native American/Indigenous communities in the U.S and beyond. In particular, this course focuses on the historical and contemporary experiences of Native American/Indigenous populations through a variety of perspectives, including critical, intersectional, and decolonial. The class addresses a variety of topics, such as: identity, culture, (de)colonization, migration, gender/sexuality, oppression, and liberation. In addition, the course examines indigeneity in the U.S./globally and contemporary issues of Native American/Indigenous communities.

Satisfies G.E. area UD-D and the Multicultural Requirement.

Prerequisites: ETHS 2300 recommended
