LIBS 2000 - Analysis of Classroom Environments3 unit(s) Provides experiences with observing and analyzing classroom environments, noting student characteristics and teaching styles. This observation-based analysis increases awareness and teaching effectiveness. Course topics include: positive and safe learning environments, principles of effective classroom management, general assessment principles (including assessment of literacy), and lesson design. Fingerprint clearance from the University Police Department and tuberculosis clearance are required for fieldwork. Placements may be limited or unavailable for students with felony convictions.
Prerequisites: LIBS 1000.
