LIBS 1010 - Reflections on Classroom Experiences3 unit(s) The course is geared towards students who have completed at least 1 year of professional or volunteer experiences in K-8 educational spaces, and are able to connect these experiences with course material. Course topics include: teaching credential requirements, California Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs), professional teaching terminology/concepts, state standards, English Language Development (ELD) standards, the teaching cycle, asset oriented instruction, and supporting underserved student populations. Equivalent to LIBS 1000. Juniors and Seniors only.
Prerequisites: Consent of instructor. Candidates must be at a junior or senior level, and have at least 1 year of professional or volunteer experiences in a K-8 educational space, or have completed LIBS 3200.
