BIOL 4110 - Concepts in Epidemiology3 unit(s) (Same as HSCI 4110) Introduction to the history, current concepts and basic fundamentals of epidemiology including how factors interact to influence communicable and non-communicable diseases (i.e. an agent-host-environment paradigm when examining patterns of disease), and the methods utilized for the prevention and control of disease. Open to College of Science major Juniors and Seniors only.
Prerequisites: Admission to the Health Science program, or Math 1600 or 1602, BIOL 1050 and 1150, and CHEM 1100, or consent of instructor.
