ANTH 4600 - Anthropology of Caregiving, Death, & Dying3 unit(s) Via the lenses of cultural and medical anthropology, the course examines terminal illness, palliative care, end-of-life caregivers, dying and death. Students will learn how cultures conceptualize, produce, and understand these circumstances in addition to how globalization exerts pressures on societies throughout the world and how they factor into death and dying.
Satisfies GE Area UD-D and the Multicultural Requirement.
Prerequisites: ANTH 2060 recommended.
