NURS 5490 - Population Based Mental Health Across the Lifespan

Concepts of mental health and mental illness will be examined using a population based and developmental approach. Mental health practice in the United States, including promotion and prevention across the life span and periods of vulnerability will be analyzed. Students will examine the impact of community and population dynamics in promoting mental health.

Open to Post Masters Psychiatric-Mental Health APRN certificate students only.

Corequisites: NURS 5480.

Prerequisites: Be admitted to the Post Masters Psychiatric-Mental Health APRN certificate; NURS 5440, 5450, 5460, 5470.
