NURS 5440 - Practicum in Advanced Practice Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing with Indiv, Groups and Families I3 unit(s) Students are provided with foundational practicum experiences necessary for the management of individuals, groups and families, across the life span, including mental wellness promotion, psychiatric illness prevention, and psychiatric treatment in patients from diverse backgrounds.
Practicum provides students the opportunity to integrate theory and practice in supervised experiences. Students are required to be admitted to the Post Masters Psychiatric-Mental Health APRN certificate.
Corequisites: NURS 5450, NURS 5460, NURS 5470
Prerequisites: NURS 5400, NURS 5410, NURS 5420, and NURS 5430. Must hold a master’s degree from an accredited school of nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
