PHYS 4530 - Thermal and Statistical Physics4 unit(s) Thermodynamics and statistical mechanics. A unified approach
following Gibbs, based on a microscopic description using quantum
states. Fermi, Bose, and “Classical” systems are discussed with
applications to standard and current topics.
Prerequisites: PHYS 3520 or consent of instructor.
