LIBS 4800 - Language Development and Acquisition for Educators3 unit(s) Course will provide Liberal Studies majors the foundational understanding of issues related to interaction of first and second languages in K-8 classrooms. Course includes fundamental components of human language, such as phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, as well as specific theories and practices related to second language acquisition in the classroom.
