KINS 4600 - Exercise Testing and Prescription4 unit(s) Compiling information for exercise prescription and lifestyle counseling, this course covers selected areas of exercise testing, health, and fitness screening and evaluation. There is an emphasis on skill training for providing lifestyle prescription and counseling. Course also includes a laboratory section where concepts from lecture are applied to practical situations. Limited to junior and senior Kinesiology majors.
Prerequisites: BIOL 1010/1020, ZOOL 2250, ZOOL 2235, MATH 1600 or 1602, CHEM 1100 & 1102, KINS 4300, KINS 4130.
Hours: (Lecture, 3 hours; laboratory, 3 hours)
