SOCL 3330 - Social Organization in Traditional Society3 unit(s) Examines the social organization of a traditional society (the Alaska natives) in contrast to the social organization of modern, industrialized, urban societies. Roles, statues, kinship, and social institutions are investigated as integrative within society. This comparative and contrasting approach provides both the Sociology major and non-sociology majors a broad-based perspective in viewing contemporary society.
