PSYC 5800 - Marriage and Family Life2 unit(s) The family is examined as a social and psychological entity. Theoretical approaches to understanding family structure and interaction are reviewed. Special emphasis is placed upon developing an understanding of the diversity of family forms in contemporary American society and on exploring the relationship of these forms to social, cultural, and psychological factors.
Prerequisites: Graduate standing or consent of instructor.
