NSCI 3000 - Science for Self-Sufficiency3 unit(s) Theoretical and practical aspects of science related to a self-sufficient life style, including organic agriculture and pest control; plant propagation; food preservation; production of beer, wine, cheese, and other foods; human nutrition; transmission and control of infectious diseases; water treatment and waste disposal; environmental physiology; and production of energy.
Satisfies G.E. area UD-B. Upper Division G.E. courses are designed to be taken after upper-division status (completion of 60 semester units) is attained.
Prerequisites: Junior standing.
