Examine how human activities alter the structure and function of ecosystems using local through international examples. Emphasis on the integration of ecosystems components, and roles of science, economic, and social forces in determining policy affecting ecosystems.

Satisfies G.E. area UD-B. Upper Division G.E. courses are designed to be taken after upper-division status (completion of 60 semester units) is attained.

Prerequisites: Junior standing and completion of G.E. area B.
