NURS 5350 - Clinical Practice in Primary Care I4 unit(s) This course provides the student with foundational clinical experiences necessary for the management of individuals across the life span, including wellness promotion, illness prevention, and treatment in patients from diverse backgrounds. Emphasis is on the utilization of critical thinking and evidence-based practice to formulate differential diagnoses, clinical impressions, diagnoses, and treatment and evaluation plans for patients. This course provides clinical opportunities in the primary care setting to provide safe, cost effective, legal, and ethical care for individuals across the life span with commonly encountered health problems. Supervised clinical practice in primary care settings with emphasis on care of patients of all ages.
Corequisites: NURS 5340
Prerequisites: NURS 5310, NURS 5330, and NURS 5040.
