NURS 5340 - Diagnosis and Management of Common Health Problems in Primary Care3 unit(s) Family Nurse Practitioner concepts, skills, and care in assessment, intervention, and management of individuals in primary care and community based settings. Health promotion, disease prevention, and management of care of individuals with commonly encountered health needs across the lifespan in ambulatory care. Development of protocols and algorithms for intervention and management with emphasis on health maintenance. Application of pathophysiological concepts to clinical practice.
Corequisites: NURS 5350
Prerequisites: NURS 5310, NURS 5040, and NURS 5330.
