(Formerly Cultural Variations in Nursing) The purpose of this Study Abroad course is to develop further an awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the cultural factors that underlie a person’s way of living. This course will increase the practitioner’s ability to make in-depth assessments of the cultural influences upon the individual’s health care status and will develop the ability to deliver culturally sensitive, safe, and effective care.
