ETHS 3200 - Chicana Activism and Identity(3 Units) (Formerly Gender Roles in the Chicano Community) (Offered under the subjects GEND and ETHS) An interdisciplinary exploration of the historical contexts, political institutions, social practices and cultural formations that have produced Chicana feminisms and identities. We will explore the intersectionality of race, class, gender, and sexuality and the multiple ways in which Chicana feminist scholarship has explored and theorized the lives of Chicanas.
