GEOL 3650 - Geohazards: The Geological Science of Natural Disasters(3 Units) Examines the scientific method and applies it to the study of natural disasters, including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, soil erosion and pollution, stream pollution and flooding, landslides, solid waste disposal, atmospheric geohazards, and severe weather geohazards. Designed specifically for future teachers. (LIBS Integrative: Scientific/Mathematical Inquiry) Prerequisites: Completion of all G.E. or Liberal Studies requirements in area B.
