(4 Units) Study of marine communities with emphasis on local communities. Ecology and natural history of plants and animals, and their adaptation to marine environments are stressed. (Formerly Marine Biology) Satisfies ecology elective for the major. Prerequisites: BIOL 1050, BIOL 1150, and ZOOL 4420, ZOOL 4430, BOTY 3130, or consent of instructor.
