SW 5056 - Cultural Competency for Supervision and Training(1 Units) In this advanced graduate course, participants learn how to use the concepts of cross-cultural social work practice and culture-centered counseling in two areas of personal and professional development: supervision and training. Emphasis is placed on applied knowledge. Culture is broadly defined to include ethnicity, social class, age, gender, and orientation.Prerequisites: SW 5030 and SW 5031 or completion of the core modules of the Certificate Program in Becoming Culturally Competent.
