Roadmap: B.A. in Psychology for Stockton Transfers


Notes/Recommendations

***FOR STOCKTON TRANSFER STUDENTS ***

By completing the following Roadmap, you will earn a BA in Psychology. Students should have completed a two-year Transfer with Associate’s Degree program, or a minimum of 60 units completing GE Areas A through E.

The Department of Psychology is committed to providing a high-quality education to undergraduate and graduate students, helping students understand the central role of science in understanding human behavior, and maintaining a well-rounded faculty that represents all areas of study in the field, including both theoretical and applied interests.

Complete the General Education requirements as indicated in the University catalog.

This Roadmap is an advising map to complete the degree program in two years. Please consult your academic advisor as you develop your academic plan.

To meet major requirements, make sure that you have taken at least 6 units (two courses) in Psychology as a Natural Science, at least 6 units (two courses) in Psychology as a Social Science, at least 6 units (two courses, not counting PSYC 3010) in Psychology as an Applied Science, and at least 6 units (typically two courses) of electives. If you are thinking about applying to our MS graduate program, prerequisite classes include PSYC 3000, 3350, PSYC 3790 and 4770 with a B or better. If you are thinking about applying for the MS program with a concentration in Behavior Analysis, PSYC 3700 (with a B or better) is recommended.
