Roadmap: B.S. in Computer Science for Transfers

***FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS ***

This Roadmap is a possible path to earning a BS in Computer Science in two years. Students should have completed a two-year Transfer with Associate’s Degree program, or a minimum of 60 units completing GE Areas A through E. In addition, students should have completed, or made significant progress toward completing, the lower division Prerequisites to the Major.

Do you like puzzles? Problem solving? Math? Science? How about working in teams? Computer Science might be for you. CS majors will use their skills in technological areas such as computer networking, image processing, database design and development and artificial intelligence. Students focus on problem solving, taking into account the capabilities of the technology and available resources.

This Roadmap is a possible path for an appropriately prepared student to complete the degree program in two years. It is important for you to work with Department academic advisors each semester as you progress through your academic work.
