The Department of Music offers a six-course sequence leading to a Live Sound and Recording Arts Technician Certificate. The certificate program offers an academically based experience to students wishing to pursue music technology at a non-academic level. Students may complete the course sequence for the certificate in consultation with the adviser.
Admission into the certificate program does not require admittance into the University. Applicants may be requested to submit examples of their prior work in a digital format if applicable. The program offers coursework and theoretical training by completing application-based projects. Projects include providing staff support for live, recording, and post-production needs of the Department of Music concert season.
