CJ 3650 - At-Risk Youth(3 Units) (Formerly Youth Violence) Class explores criminological theories, risk, protective and criminogenic factors that explain at-risk youth’s substance abuse, sexual, violent, and general offending behaviors and tendencies, and the different ways in which risks and need assessments are used by juvenile justice professionals to correct at-risk behaviors.
Prerequisites: CJ 2250 and CJ 2280, or consent of instructor.
