KINS 3700 - Sport in Society (WP)(3 Units) (Formerly PHED 3700) Introduction to the theoretical study of sport and its relationship to culture and society; investigation and analysis of literature that is concerned with the individual and his/her involvement in play, game, and sport. Emphasis will be on corporate sport and its impact on social institutions and processes.
Satisfies upper-division writing proficiency requirement.
Prerequisites: Completion of the Writing Proficiency Screening Test with a passing score. Limited to junior and senior Kinesiology and Liberal Studies majors or consent of instructor.
