BIOL 5402 - Molecular Biology and Cytogenetics Laboratory

Technologies and specialized instrumentation utilized in molecular and clinical cytogenetics laboratory for diagnostic and research purposes. Covers basic to advanced molecular biology techniques and applications, microarrays, microscopy, tissue culturing, karyotyping, specialized computer software programs. Labs will be spread out over two consecutive semesters.

Prerequisites: BIOL 5400 or concurrent enrollment, BIOL 5700 or concurrent enrollment, or consent of instructor.
