ANTH 4210 - Ethnomedical Anthropology

(3 Units)
Designed to provide an introductory overview of this new field within the discipline of anthropology, the course will trace the origins and scope of medical anthropology. Emphasis will be placed on both Western and non-Western cultures in order to examine the relationship between culture, health, and disease including the analysis of health care delivery systems and the roles of medical anthropologists within them.

Prerequisites: ANTH 2060 or consent of instructor.
